Bord na Móna to make significant investment in their Edenderry peat and biomass power plant in the important area of Emissions Compliance with a global leading energy company Fortum.
Fortum has signed a low-NOx combustion technology agreement with Bord na Móna and will provide environmental performance technology to the power station. For Fortum, this new agreement is the continuation of a long history of improving customer’s environmental and financial performance.
Fortum eNext helps traditional power plants improve their operations and reduce emissions. It provides its customers with electricity, heating and cooling as well as smart solutions to improve resource efficiency.
Fortum were involved in the original design and build of the power station, and have again been contracted to help Bord na Móna as we continue to operate the plant successfully.
