A historic day as Bord na Móna appoints first ever female Worker Director
Today is a significant day for us at Bord na Móna, as we announce the appointment of Sinéad Culleton-Lowry as a Worker Director on our Board. With 32 years’ service at the company, Sinéad makes history, as our first-ever female worker director, showcasing our continued commitment to creating a more diverse, equal & inclusive workforce.
Sinéad joined the company in 1989, as Canteen Attendant in Boora, before being appointed Canteen Manager at our Blackwater site, where she worked for almost four years. Sinéad is currently the Canteen Manager in Boora. Since joining the company thirty-two years ago, Sinéad has served as a Shop Steward and Assistant Secretary on the Boora SIPTU Committee. Respected and valued by her colleagues, Sinéad will bring a new depth of employee experience to our Board. Working alongside her fellow Board members, Sinéad will be responsible for overseeing the implementation of our strategy to ensure the long-term success of our business.
We look forward to seeing the new depth of employee experience Sinéad will bring to our Board.
