Lead the brand and communications strategy with responsibility for delivery of the brand strategy, internal and external communications and digital marketing strategy. This role is critical to shaping and communicating the company’s mission to various stakeholders and partners. The Strategic Brand Comms Manager will be adept at creating impactful narratives, fostering relationships with media, and driving brand awareness initiatives that highlight the company’s commitment to sustainability, innovation and leadership in the renewable energy sector.
The main duties and responsibilities of the role will include the following:
- Develop an integrated brand strategy, in line with agreed, budgets, goals & objectives, positioning Bord na Móna to successfully achieve project pipeline delivery and strategic business ambition. Work collaboratively with the wider Comms & Engagement team to develop and implement brand strategy, ensuring consistency and clarity of message across all elements of the brand plan. Secure buy-in from all key stakeholders through the appropriate use of content, tools, and channels of delivery.
- Work with external agencies as required to create and execute brand comms campaigns, ensuring that brand and comms activity aligns to achieve overall business and marketing objectives. Develop compelling, clear and consistent messaging for multiple platforms that reinforces the company’s brand identity and leadership in the industry. Deliver marketing assets to deadline and maintain concurrently running active campaigns. Analyse metrics and KPIs to evaluate campaign effectiveness and drive continuous improvement in our marketing strategies. Provide regular reports and actionable insights to guide decision-making.
- Lead engagements with the media agency on media planning & buying across a range of formats including print, radio and digital media; managing spend across these formats. Create marketing assets across these formats, including but not limited to the production of broadcast advertisements and digital and print formats. Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with media outlets, industry publications, and influencers to maximise earned media opportunities.
- Monitor the performance of the brand through KPIs. Identify and analyse market trends, customer insights and competitive intelligence to drive innovative and impactful marketing efforts. Analyse and report on the effectiveness of communications strategies, providing recommendations for improvement and demonstrating ROI. Develop adhoc independent reports as required.
- Lead digital marketing planning and execution, optimising content through earned and paid activity including social media platforms and website, to drive online engagement and enhance the company’s online presence.
- Lead internal comms to ensure employees are informed and engaged with company mission, vision and values. Oversee high quality execution of internal comms campaigns to activate employees as brand ambassadors and motivate employees to rally behind the company goals.
- All employees are expected to co-operate fully with all provisions taken by the company for ensuring Health and Safety, and Welfare of co-employees and members of the public using the premises
- Lead and Performance Manage your direct report(s). Proactively participate in the Performance Management process to ensure delivery of own, and the wider team’s objectives.
The Person:
The ideal candidate will possess the following qualification, skills, knowledge and attributes:
- Level 8 Degree in Business, Marketing or other related discipline.
- Proven experience implementing PR strategies from conception to completion.
- Strong media relations experience and an established network within the renewable energy industry. Deep understanding of digital marketing, social media management and content marketing. Strong project management experience and ability to work under tight deadlines.
- Familiarity with B2B marketing strategies and large-scale infrastructure projects. Excellent organisational skills & demonstrable budget management skills are required
