Bord na Móna announces today, their collaboration with Coillte, to transform former peat production land into native woodland. 1500 hectares of bog no longer used for peat production will be initially targeted in Offaly, Laois, Westmeath, and Tipperary for plantation of 600,000 new trees.

Bord na Móna AES has announced plans for a ‘Green National Ploughing Championships’. Key elements of the plan include a pledge of zero waste to landfill, a three-bin system to enable people to separate their waste and on-site organic waste being used to generate renewable electricity.
